Terms of Service

Effective date: May 1, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of WebhookBase, including our website, dashboard, APIs, public webhook endpoints, webhook capture tools, delivery inspection features, replay tools, forwarding capabilities, local agent software, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

WebhookBase is operated by ALEXIOS T. KATSADOURIS in Greece.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. The Service

WebhookBase is a developer infrastructure tool designed to help users receive, inspect, debug, replay, and forward webhook traffic. Features may include public webhook endpoints, request history, delivery metadata, attempt logs, agent-based forwarding, account-based workspaces, usage controls, and subscription-based plan limits.

Features, limits, storage behavior, retention windows, replayability, forwarding behavior, and availability may vary by plan, environment, region, beta status, or technical constraints.

We may modify, improve, restrict, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

3. Eligibility, Accounts, and Workspaces

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account and within your workspace.

Workspace owners and administrators are responsible for managing access, permissions, configured endpoints, forwarding destinations, agents, retention settings, billing settings, and member actions within their workspace.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable law, contractual obligations, and your own internal company policies.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use WebhookBase only for lawful, authorized, and legitimate business or development purposes. You may not use the Service to:

• violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right

• intercept, store, process, replay, or forward data you are not authorized to handle

• transmit malware, ransomware, spyware, harmful code, or abusive traffic

• probe, scan, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to systems, accounts, or networks

• use the Service to attack, degrade, overload, or disrupt our systems or third-party systems

• upload or route credentials, secrets, tokens, or regulated data in violation of law or policy

• use the Service as a guaranteed production queue, safety-critical system, or emergency service

• reverse engineer, decompile, copy, resell, sublicense, or misuse the Service except as expressly permitted by law

We may investigate suspected misuse and may suspend or restrict access to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.

5. Customer Data and Responsibility

The Service may process webhook payloads, headers, request metadata, delivery attempts, replay content, forwarding destinations, diagnostic information, and related debugging data that you send to, route through, or configure in the Service ("Customer Data").

You retain all rights in Customer Data. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive right to host, store, copy, transmit, process, display, and otherwise use Customer Data solely as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, support, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

You are solely responsible for the legality, integrity, accuracy, sensitivity, and appropriateness of Customer Data and for determining whether you are legally permitted to send, receive, inspect, store, replay, or forward it through the Service.

You are also responsible for configuring retention, replay, forwarding, authentication, access controls, and internal destination security in a manner appropriate for your own compliance, security, and operational requirements.

The Service is not intended for protected health information under HIPAA, payment card data subject to PCI DSS, regulated production secrets, or other highly regulated data unless we have separately agreed in writing. You should not send passwords, private keys, access tokens, payment card numbers, health records, or other sensitive regulated data through the Service unless you have proper authority and appropriate safeguards.

6. Local Agent and Forwarding

The Service may include a local agent or related tools that forward captured traffic to your local environment or other destinations you configure.

You are responsible for how the agent is installed, configured, updated, secured, and used in your environment. You acknowledge that forwarding traffic to internal systems, local services, custom endpoints, or third-party systems carries operational and security risk.

Failed forwards, duplicate forwards, delayed attempts, malformed requests, unavailable destinations, local environment issues, and target endpoint downtime may occur. You are responsible for validating your own configuration and destination behavior.

Replays and forwards may trigger real side effects in destination systems, including duplicate provider events, duplicate orders, payment workflow changes, notifications, or state transitions. You are responsible for using test modes, idempotency keys, safe destinations, and provider-specific controls where appropriate.

7. Plans, Billing, Taxes, and Limits

Some parts of the Service are offered on free or paid plans. Paid plans may renew automatically unless canceled in accordance with the billing terms presented at checkout or in your billing portal.

You authorize us and our payment processor to charge applicable fees, taxes, and recurring subscription charges using your selected payment method.

Unless otherwise stated, prices exclude taxes, duties, levies, and similar governmental charges. You are responsible for such charges, except taxes based on our net income.

We may apply plan-based limits such as projects, endpoints, storage, retention, replays, forwarding, AI features, agent devices, workspace members, request volume, or similar thresholds.

Failure to pay may result in downgrade, suspension, deletion of access to paid features, reduced retention, or termination, as permitted by applicable law.

Except as required by law, payments are non-refundable. You remain responsible for managing cancellation, downgrade, seat changes, tax information, and billing contact details through the available billing portal or support channel.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including our software, source materials, user interface, branding, design, content, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable law.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your internal business or development purposes.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or depend on third-party services, infrastructure, platforms, hosting providers, cloud providers, payment processors, authentication providers, or destination systems.

We are not responsible for third-party products, third-party outages, destination endpoint behavior, or losses caused by systems outside our reasonable control.

10. Availability and Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, successful forwarding, successful replay, complete retention, delivery preservation, data recovery, or suitability for any particular use case, legal framework, or compliance regime.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR, IF YOU USED ONLY A FREE PLAN, A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED (100) EURO.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

12. Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WebhookBase and its affiliates, officers, directors, personnel, and licensors from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to your Customer Data, your use of the Service, your forwarding or replay destinations, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access immediately if you violate these Terms, create risk for the platform, fail to pay applicable fees, are suspected of abuse, or if we reasonably need to protect the Service, our users, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately, and we may delete Customer Data in accordance with our retention practices, plan settings, backups, legal obligations, and applicable agreements.
